Hello and thanks for stopping by!

I learned to knit and do needlepoint as a child, but it wasn’t until college that I was introduced to crochet, and fell in love. A few years later I discovered Ravelry (I’m crstn85 there) and was so overwhelmed with the number of amazing items to create that I ran out of friends and family members to give them to! That was when I decided to open an etsy shop and share my creations with the world.

I am concerned about the way we are using up the resources of the world, so in an effort to make my crafting sustainable I strive to find the most eco-friendly materials I can purchase. Hence the name of my blog and shop, Tinted Green. I look for other ways to reduce the footprint of this shop as well, shipping materials are recycled whenever possible and my studio (i.e. my living room) is powered by 100% renewable electricity.

I will update this blog every few days, but if that’s not enough you can follow me on twitter or facebook to keep up to date with the shop and learn more about the process.
